Staffing

Activ Camps is privileged to enjoy fantastic venues and we work hard to produce an active timetable for all children, but the true success of our camps is down to our extraordinary staff. Activ Camps' staff selection process ensures we only employ enthusiastic staff to deliver our promise to you. Our staff come back year on year, helping your child to recognise friendly faces and also helping us to continually develop our unique camps. Each camp will have a balanced staff crew in terms of experience, expertise and qualifications.

Site Manager - usually a trained teacher or experienced child care worker, in charge of overall operations of the camp. Assistant Site Manager, Senior Group Leader and Senior Activity Instructor make up the rest of the management team. Other staff on camp include Group Leaders (in charge of the welfare of children), Activity Instructors (in charge of running rewarding, fun and safe activities), and a qualified first aider. Specialist Activity Instructors are also employed for activities such as swimming, rock climbing and quad bikes.

All staff are given full training through our in-house training programme (including compulsory child safeguarding course). All staff are also CRB checked. All staff on camp can be recognised by their royal blue 'STAFF' t-shirts and hoodies.
